Goddard House Awarded Purple Flag for Dementia Care™ Accreditation
Purple Flag for Dementia Care™ recognizes excellence in the quality of services for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia. Through the accreditation process, the Purple Flag governance committee reviews everything a provider does — from care, support, programming and communication — to ensure they are working to enhance residents’ cognitive, physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. In doing so, Purple Flag-accredited communities are setting the gold standard for excellence in memory care.
- Accreditation means that Goddard House adheres to 60 best practices that focus on providing person-centered care to residents, maintaining a highly supportive and therapeutic environment, and offering ongoing staff and family education.
- The application process yielded hundreds of pages of records and evidence that showed our ongoing commitment to and compliance with these standards. We will repeat this process every two years to ensure we are always at the forefront of dementia care.
Goddard House is the 11th provider in Massachusetts to achieve accreditation.
