BROOKLINE, MA — Goddard House recently welcomed Brookline native David Terry to their Board of Trustees.
Goddard House embraces the aging experience for seniors living in the Boston area by operating a high-quality assisted living community and by creating innovative programs which support our need for purpose, engagement, autonomy and choice as we age.
The Goddard House Board advances the organization’s mission by guiding its strategic directions and bringing innovative ideas that enhance quality of life for its assisted living residents and for the older adults in the Greater Boston community who participate in its community-based programs.
Terry is currently CEO and Co-Founder of an early-stage start-up focused on helping improve outcomes and reduce costs of care for people with diabetes, the fourth value-based care business he has started. Terry is a thought leader in healthcare delivery, payment reform, and value-based performance. Throughout his 20+ year career, he has been an advisor, senior executive and entrepreneur focused on helping hundreds of providers along the care continuum prepare for and succeed within risk arrangements.
Terry’s personal connection to Goddard House drew him to the role. “We have a family member who is a resident at Goddard House, and we have been very impressed with how much the staff cares about her, the quality of care they deliver, and the amount of interesting and creative activities available to her and all of the residents of Goddard House,” he shared. “We feel very lucky that she is able to live there and I’m proud to be on the Board of such a terrific asset to our community.”
“Dave is a tremendous addition to our Board,” remarked Alexandra Schweitzer, Board of Trustees Chair. “His deep healthcare experience and interest in healthy aging align with our mission and strategic directions and will help ensure that Goddard House continues to be a vibrant organization that empowers older adults to thrive.”
In addition to serving on Goddard House’s Board of Trustees, Terry is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council for the Northeastern University College of Science. He holds a BA from Columbia and an MBA from Harvard.
