In 2019, Executive Director, Carolyn Sandel began the tradition of offering special recognition to one exceptional associate each quarter. The award nominees are staff members who’s work, attitude and concern for our residents best exemplify the seven Goddard House Values. These values of Compassion, Respect, Collaboration, Responsiveness, Excellence, Innovation and Transparency are at the heart of all we do. Offering this award to four deserving associates each year allows these individuals to serve as living examples of the original mission to care for older adults started over a century ago.
Residents, family members and staff are all able to nominate candidates for the award each quarter. Ballots are completed and reviewed by a committee of senior managers and the Executive Director until a winner is chosen. Employees of the Quarter are awarded a gift, an award certificate, and a dedicated premium parking spot for the quarter. Winners names are also added to a Perpetual Plaque which hangs in the front lobby.
For FQ-2019, the winner of Employee of the Quarter was Eugene Mbukanma (Dining Room Supervisor).
